The key ingredients to look for in skincare products can vary depending on the concerns you wish to treat. If you are breakout prone, you may want to find a product that contains Salicylic Acid or if you want to target hyperpigmentation, Tranexamic Acid may be helpful for you! In most cases, yes! However some skincare products contain active ingredients that, if layered together, can cause irritation on the skin. Ideally you want to avoid layering exfoliating, retinol based or vitamin c skincare products with each other as these can lead to irritation if used at the same time. With some skincare products you can see results almost immediately however consistency really is key to seeing results from your routine. Depending on the concerns you wish to treat, some results can take 4-6 weeks and others can take months to even a year or so! If you are treating dryness or dehyration you can begin to see results after a few weeks, for breakouts usually 6-12 weeks and for hyperpigmentation or signs of ageing this often takes several months.
