Succinic Acid Treatment | The INKEY List

• Can be applied to a blemish up to three times per day.
• We suggest cleansing with Salicylic Acid Cleanser, and hydrating with your chosen hydrator, before applying Succinic Acid Treatment.
• Place a small amount of Succinic Acid from the tube onto a clean finger and apply directly onto the blemish.
• If you would like to use other skincare or makeup on top, leave the formula to dry for 5 minutes before applying.
• Apply SPF as the last step in your AM skincare routine.

  • The green coloured formula (obtained from natural chlorophyll derived from plant pigment) acts as a colour corrector to neutralise the red colour from blemishes.
  • For an overnight treatment, try our C-50 Blemish Night Treatment that targets breakouts, unclogs pores and reduces the appearance of redness by morning.
  • If using after other actives such as exfoliating acids (AHAs, BHAs or PHA Toner), Retinol, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, we'd suggest to avoid applying these on the areas you wish to use Succinic on.

To keep your product working at its best, we recommend storing in a dry, cool place (ideally between 15-25 °C) and keep out of direct sunlight. Avoid direct contact with eyes. External use only. Keep out of reach of children.

SHOULD I USE THIS BEFORE OR AFTER MY OTHER SKINCARE PRODUCTS? You can apply Succinic Acid directly to areas of concern up to 3x a day both over and under make-up. Allow 5 minutes to dry before following with the rest of your routine/make up.

HOW OFTEN SHALL I USE IT? It can be applied up to three times daily on the areas required.

IS THIS JUST FOR SPOT TREATING OR CAN I USE ON MY ENTIRE FACE? As this is a targeted treatment, it is best for use on specific areas only.

CAN THIS BE USED LONG TERM? The product is designed to be used if and when needed to target breakouts and can be used long term.

CAN I USE IT EVEN IF I DON’T HAVE ACTIVE BREAK OUTS?  We’d recommend only using this product if you wish to treat spots and breakouts that are currently present on your skin.

WHAT CAN I LAYER IT WITH? IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER ACTIVE INGREDIENTS? If using after other actives such as exfoliating acids(AHAs, BHAs or PHA Toner), Retinol, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, we'd suggest to avoid applying these on the areas you wish to use Succinic on. CAN I USE IT ON MY BODY? Yes, you can use it anywhere you experience blemishes.

WHY IS IT GREEN? The colour is obtained from a natural chlorophyll derived plant pigment. Due to the different weather conditions and seasons the plant is exposed to, the shade of the product formula you use may vary in brightness so it will change from production run to production run

WHY IS THERE A SMELL? This is due to the nature of ingredients in the formulation, and these do not affect the efficacy of the Succinic Acid treatment. The smell will disappear upon application.

WHAT'S THE % OF SUCCINIC ACID? 2% Succinic Acid

WHAT'S THE % OF SALICYLIC ACID? Succinic Acid treatment contains 1% Salicylic Acid.

WHAT'S THE % OF SULFUR? Succinic Acid treatment contains 2% Colloidal Sulfur.

WHAT IS THE PH LEVEL OF THIS PRODUCT? PH Level 5.0 -6.0

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS? Products can take up to six weeks to show full results, due to the time it takes for your skin cells to turnover and the results of any products to reach the surface. Consistency is key, so apply regularly even if you’re not seeing the effects straight away. It can be very tempting to increase use of some products to try and see quicker results, don't overdo it though. More is not necessarily more, and overuse can cause irritation and sensitivity.
