HAIR & SCALP CONCERNS

Dry hair is the result of there being a lack of moisture or moisture retention in the hair shaft. This can cause hair to appear dull, lack sheen,  experience frizz and more prone to breakage.

When hair is thinning, you may notice consistency in loss of hair and even larger patches of hair loss on the scalp. Hair loss is largely attributed to genetics but additionally medications, stress levels, and hormones can play a role

Damaged hair can look brittle, fragile, and frizzy. It's prone to breakage, having split ends and overall can have an unruly appearance. Over use of bleaching, color dying and heat stlying tools are the largest contributors in causing hair bonds to break and hair to become damaged

Brittle hair normally results in your hair being dry and looking frizzy, dull, tangled, and overall unhealthy.  All hair, especially particularly dry and curly textures, may need an extra help when it comes to deeply nourish hair.

Hair that appears dull normally lacks moisture resulting in a loss of shine and body. This can be casued by use of harsh styling products, styling tools and techniques, all the way down to diet and nutrients. This can affect any hair type.

Scalp build up can be caused by residue from haircare and scalp care products, sebum, dead skin cells and sweat. As a result, excessive buildup can cause scalp inflammation and this can disrupt the healthy function of the hair follicles by clogging them up.

Exfoliating the scalp will help to dissolve and lift the buildup, allowing roots to become unclogged, thus encouraging normal hair growth and hair to lift up, leaving hair looking healthy.

Lack of volume results in your hair looking flat and lifeless. This can be caused by different factors from excess oil resulting in greasy hair, build-up at the root from product use or simply down to your genetics.  Thicker looking hair can be achieved  both if you have really fine, thin hair or if you have noticed hair loss and want to make  hair look thicker. Using products that reach the hair follicles to plump the cortex will help with the apperance of fuller, denser hair.

An oily scalp can result in greasy hair. Certain people have naturally more oily scalps than other but external factors can play a role in the glands over-producing sebum resulting in greasier hair.

A flaky and itchy scalp can be caused by numerous factors. From excess oil production and scalp irritations, to build-up from not shampooing enough all the way to fungal infections.  Chances are if you're experiencing certain patterns on your facial skin, your scalp is experiencing them too!

Curly hair can tend to be dry as the natural oils our scalp produces struggle to travel down the full shaft of the hair follicle due to the culry pattern. This can cause curly hair to appear dull, bounceless, and undefined.  

Environmental factors including heat and pollution can cause damage to hair. Protecting your hair against these factors will help in keeping breakage, dullness, and brittleness at bay.
