How to Use in a routine

Only use Retinol in your PM routine

As Retinol speeds up skin renewal, newer skin reaches the surface quicker. This can increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun. That's why we recommended only using Retinol in the PM and always using a broad spectrum sunscreen during the day. Apply our SPF as the last step in your AM skincare routine.

How often to use Retinol

If you are new to Retinol, start off using it 1-2 times per week and increase gradually if your skin can tolerate more frequent use. We suggest introducing new products slowly so that you can easily identify any source of irritation.

Layering moisturizers after Retinol

We recommend using a moisturizer after layering Retinol into your skincare routine. This is due the fact Retinol can have drying effects on our skin. If you’re only just starting out and your skin is on a sensitive side, you could apply Retinol on top of moisturizer to minimise the risk of dehydration.

When to start using Retinol

We recommend starting at age 25, or when the first signs of aging begin to show.

Products you should avoid using with Retinol;

AHAs : It is not recommended to use Retinol and Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Apple Cider Vinegar, AHA) at the same time as this can lead over exfoliation and sensitised skin so alternate and use on different nights.

Vitamin C : Avoid mixing Vitamin C & Retinol products at the same time. We suggest using Vitamin C in your AM routine and Retinol in your PM routine.

Seeing results from using Retinol

Retinol can take up to six weeks to start showing results. This is due to the time it takes for your skin cells to be replaced. Consistency is key, so continue with you routine even if you’re not seeing the effects straight away. It can be very tempting to increase use of some products to try and see quicker results, don't overdo it though. More is not always better change for future. Overuse can cause irritation and sensitivity.

Initial thoughts - Good Product
Using these items as directed.
My skin has reacted a little with every use, a little nippy and bright red for a few hours, although this is lessening gradually, only lasted a minute tonight. It is definitely having a great effect though, my skin texture is much more even already and fine lines are definitely softer. The eye retinol is fabulous, no reaction at all from day one and lines are starting to reduce!!
These are great products, good value for money, they do as described and are a fab duo to use together. Will definitely repurchase! Only giving 4 stars as still early days and yet to see long term results

New to retinol range.
After trying other retinol products which were pricey I decided to give the inkey a go. It’s early days but have no issues with it irritating my skin and I will be using this on days that I keep out of the sunshine. Love that it’s a low dose and affordable price to use in conjunction with my other inkey face care items.
